In-office Diagnostics
Onsite X-ray
Onsite X-Ray makes it convenient to diagnose and treat patients in the same visit. X-Rays are imaging tests that show internal structures, such as bones. X-Rays are especially helpful for diagnosing and treatment planning for fractures.
Blood filtration system
The blood filtration system is used to separate red blood cells from the platelets that release proteins and other particles in the body that assist with self-healing. Platelet rich plasma is derived by placing a small amount of the patient’s own blood into the blood filtration system which spins at a very high speed to separate the blood into its’ healing components. In the last several years we have learned that when activated in the body, platelets release healing proteins called growth factors. There are many growth factors with varying responsibilities, however cumulatively they accelerate tissue and wound healing.
Guided ultrasound machine
The precision of PRP injections can be aided by the use of ultrasound guided injections which add to the safety and efficacy of the injections. Because the goal of PRP is to facilitate the healing of damaged tissue, ultrasound guided PRP adds a pinpoint accuracy of these injections to ensure the solution is targeting the damaged tissue as well as avoiding other structures near the affected area. With ultrasound guided injections, we can deliver the PRP within a millimeter of the injured area, in addition the ultrasound provides us with a clear picture of injured area which helps us to determine if other areas near-by are affected by the injury.
